As You Like It subverts the traditional rules of romance. Gender roles, nature and politics are confused in a play that reflects on how bewildering yet utterly pleasurable life can be. Forced into exile in the Forest of Arden, lovers Rosalind and Orlando become entangled in a beguiling game of love, lust and mistaken identity. The play has some of the loveliest poetry Shakespeare wrote, including the famous “All the world’s a stage…” speech.
Connie Boyd, the Director, has taught Drama and English for 28 years at San Pasqual High School. Took students to Fullerton, Thespians, Drama Teachers Association of Southern California, and English Speaking Union Shakespeare competitions. They performed in in-classroom presentations of poetry and short scenes. Directed and acted at Patio Playhouse for 33 years.

PATRICIA ELMORE COSTA, DIRECTOR OF PROGRAMMING
Patricia is the founder and Artistic Director of the San Diego Actors Theatre. Patricia is a professional actor, director, producer, writer and educator of theatre and communication arts. She began her career in Chicago, where she performed with Second City, Old Town Theatre, and Travel Light Theatre. Currently, she is a professor of theatre and communication arts for the SDCC District.
NATHAN AGIN, DIRECTOR OF ONLINE MARKETING
Nathan is an audiobook narrator, online marketer/web designer, text coach, and podcast host of The Working Actor’s Journey. Nathan attended USC’s School of Dramatic Arts and trained in classical theatre with The Antaeus Company. He recently relocated to San Diego after 4 years in Chicago and was fairly nomadic before that. Learn more about him and all his projects here.

The San Diego Museum of Art and the San Diego Shakespeare Society team up for an enjoyable evening of art and poetry with this special after-hours collaboration!
Featuring Darryl Woodson, John Tessmer, Jess Boles Lohmann, Patricia Elmore Costa, and Nathan Agin performing sonnets, speeches, and scenes from the canon!

Bring your sweetheart to tour the museum’s works of art while hearing and seeing live performances of the sonnets and passages from Shakespeare’s plays, some of the most beautiful expressions of love ever written.
Then continue the fun and head over to the Panama 66 cafe next store for live music and food and wine, or the Prado Restaurant to cap a lovely romantic evening.
Tours will meet and begin in Museum rotunda. Tours start at 6:00 p.m. and at 7:00 p.m.
$5 admission on Fridays from 5:00–8:00 pm (normally $15 for adults during regular hours) Visitors age of 17 or less are free!
